"Come on, ___." your dad said. "We're going to get you some new clothes for the start of kindergarten."
"Yaaay!" you smiled, excited. You always liked going to the store. It was especially fun because there were plenty of places to hide.
You held your father's hand, skipping along beside him as you walked to the mall. He led the way, taking you to your favorite store. They had all kinds of clothes, and plenty in your favorite color. Your dad started looking through some clothes on a shelf, and you took the opportunity to hide in the middle of a circular clothing rack.
When your dad turned around, holding a top he thought you might like, he was surprised to find that you weren't behind him anymore. He looked around and called out your name, getting worried. You decided to climb out and surprise him, but he wasn't by the rack anymore. In fact, you didn't see him at all. You wandered to the entrance of the store, in case he was waiting for you there. But, you didn't dare go any further because you knew that you were supposed to stay where you were when you got lost.
As the minutes passed like hours, you started to worry. What if your dad never found you? What if you were lost forever? You didn't know the way home from the mall yet, so you couldn't just go home. You would just have to wait. You sat down and took a (f/f) juice box out of your little bag. You sat at the entrance to the store and waited, sipping your juice.
More minutes passed, dragging on. You finished your juice, but there was still no sight of your dad. You were really worried now, thinking maybe he forgot about you. You started to cry.
Almost immediately, two strong arms wrapped around you, comforting you. You noticed the sandy blonde hair and immediately knew who it was. "___, don't ever do that again."
"I'm sorry, Daddy..." you whimpered into his shoulder. "I shouldn't hide... Don't forget me."
Your dad held you closer. "I could never forget you, Sweetie..." he said. "I'm mad because I thought I lost you... Those were the scariest five minutes of my life."
"Me too." you agreed. "I promise, I won't hide in the store. Never ever again."
Your dad smiled. "Now, how about we buy some lunch, okay?"

Steve x Child!Reader :Oneshot: Savior
You were getting in bed when your mother announced that she was going to the store for some milk. The store wasn't too far away so the trip would take five minutes tops. Your father was still at work so you'd be alone while she was gone. You nodded and made sure the door was locked when she left. You grabbed a cookie and went to your bedroom window to watch your mother leave. You then climbed into bed and set about falling asleep.
~Five minutes later. (Mom's POV)~
I was heading back to my apartment when I saw a large cloud of black smoke. I started to walk quicker. When I turned the corner I saw that it was my apartment building was on fire

You smiled as you climbed the big tree in your backyard, your (h/c) swaying in the wind.
“Careful (Name).” Your father called approaching the tree. There were perks to having Captain America as your father.
He gave awesomely fast piggy-back rides, he taught you how to play catch and throw a Frisbee, and he could throw you far into the air before catching you. You nodded and climbed to a fairly thick branch before sitting on it.
You were now a whole 6 feet off the ground, pretty good for a 5 year old. “When is Aunt Nat and Uncle Clint coming” You asked as your (e/c) eyes sparkled. “Saturday, do you know how man

Previously on Another Stark
With a chuckle, Steve stood up and held out his hand to the young Stark, who immediately grasped his much larger hand in hers.
“Well, better get you back to your room before your Dad finds out” he said as they began to make their way to the elevator, “Don’t worry, it will be our little secret.”
She looked at him in awe before she wrapped her arms around him in a hug. But no sooner did she hug him, did the sound of the elevator opening capture their attention.
Standing in front of the elevator, his brown eyes ablaze with anger, stood Tony Stark.
“Steve! Get away from my daugh
